Tomorrow (Friday 18th March) is the second of Eileen’s Family Learning Easter activity days. It looked like those in the first sessions had lots of fun so I’m sure that those going tomorrow will enjoy what Eileen has planned. Sessions are 9.00-9.45 or 2.15-3.00 in the Family Learning room across from the school hall.

Easter Crafts
We would like to remind you that tomorrow is the first session of Eileen’s Easter craft activities. Sessions will be in the Family Learning Room at 11.00-11.45 and 12.15-1.00. We hope that you all have good fun.
Reading Aloud Is Fun
The children and families who took part in Eileen’s rearranged Read Aloud session last week look like they had a lot of fun. Easter crafts are available next week in the Family Learning room so please remember to add your names to the list on the board in the corridor if you would like to take part.
Fantastic Week
Thom’s family has been looking at the photos of our visit from the fire officer and the engine:
“it looks fab….Thom was keen to tell me all about this and how loud the siren was and how they had to cover their ears. What a fantastic week its been with so many visitors”
It was a great week and the children really enjoyed having all the visitors in talking about their different jobs so thank you to everyone concerned.
Well Done
Finbarr’s family is proud of his recent certificate and left a lovely comment:
“Well done Finbarr. Keep up the good work x”
We are proud of you too Finbarr. Well done!
Story Time
Bethany’s family likes the photos of Primary 2 reading their stories in Nursery:
“Bethany was very excited because she was able to read her story to her little brother! Noah seemed to enjoy it too!”
Thank you to Primary 2 and Mrs. Mahon for a great visit. It was lovely to see some brothers and sisters reading together and all the children seemed to enjoy your visit.
Read Aloud
We would like to remind you that Eileen’s rearranged Read Aloud session is on tomorrow, March 1st, from 12.15 until 1.00 when story, activities and crafts will be available in the Family Learning Room. We hope that those who missed last time through illness are feeling better now and are able to attend.
Chinese Snacks
Kenzie’s family has been looking at the photos of the children tasting Chinese food:
“Good to see Kenzie enjoying the Chinese Snacks
“
She certainly does look as if she was having lots of fun at snack that day. It was great to see the children happy to try something a little different.
Read Aloud
We hope that those who attended Eileen’s celebration of Read Aloud Day enjoyed themselves. That Elmer book did seem to be capturing the children’s attention when I called in. Unfortunately Eileen had to postpone the afternoon session as several children or parents were ill so she hopes to reschedule it for another time when you are all feeling better. Thanks again to Eileen for organising another great idea.
Afternoon Pancakes
The afternoon children enjoyed a Pancake Day breakfast with their families just like the morning children last week. Here you can see them tucking in to the pancakes, crepes and fruit then performing an impromptu song to entertain us all. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us – it helped to make this a lovely social occasion for the children.
