Busy Indoors And Outdoors

Nancy’s family has been enjoying our recent photos showing several different activities. Nancy featured in some of our outdoor photos.

“Nancy loves playing in the mud  kitchen 😊”
“Nancy said she was making pretend Chocolate cake in this photo. She has a brilliant imagination 😁 “

Her family also liked the photos indoors of the children helping to prepare snack.

“Nancy loves helping to chop/prepare food at home so she would of loved this 😊 “

Nancy certainly looks very busy both indoors and outdoors.

Family Learning

We would like to remind you that our first Family Learning sessions of the year will be held tomorrow, Thursday 6th September. It is great to see that a large group of families have signed up to this and Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, is looking forward to seeing you all. Times are 9.00-9.45, 11.15-12.00, 12.15-1.00 and 2.15-3.00. Remember that younger siblings are welcome. We hope that you have lots of fun.

Huge Thanks

After last week’s kind donation of a twin buggy from former parents, one of our new families has now kindly helped us out with another two buggies which will allow all our younger children to go out into the community together to develop their learning on a regular basis.
Huge thanks to Macaulay’s family for being so kind and generous. This will be a fantastic addition to our Nursery and is hugely appreciated by us all. The children and staff are very excited to try out  their new transport. Watch out for us out and about in Annan soon.

Infection Control

Please note that on the right hand side of this page, under “Support Information”, we have a link to “Guidance on Infection Control”. This has helpful details about NHS guidelines on any illness your child may have and the recommended time to stay at home prior to returning to Nursery. We hope that this is useful for all our families.

Back In The Swing

Evelyn’s family has been looking at some of our first posts of the children settling back in to their new year:

“Evelyn loves coming to nursery. She was quite nervous to go back after the holidays but seems to be back in the swing of things. I love the blog. I like to see what she gets up to because she’s always over excitedly telling me what she gets up to haha. Xx”

We are glad that Evelyn is enjoying being back in Nursery and that you use the blog for updates of what we are all doing. We will continue to regularly provide an insight into events and activities to give you a picture of what is happening. Thank you for leaving us a comment. We do appreciate it.

First Days

Leo’s family has been looking at our photos of the first few days of term:

“Leo has really enjoyed his first few days of nursery and has been telling us all about the different toys he has been playing with 😊 “

It’s good to hear that Leo has enjoyed his first week. Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a comment. We would love more of our families to leave us a message as we want this to be a shared blog with you all.

Parent Comments

Joshua and Nancy’s family has been looking at a variety of photos from the end of our school year and has left us several comments.

“Joshua & Nancy loved graduation day. Although Joshua says he’ll miss Miss Kerr very much”, “Joshua had great fun at Farmers den. I’m very pleased he did since it was his last trip out with nursery 😊” and ” Joshua was very excited to try the school lunches 😊 x”. We will miss you in Nursery too Joshua although no doubt we will see you in Primary 1.

“Nancy was very pleased & so happy she got a certificate. She does try very hard at everything  she does 😊 “. Keep up the good work Nancy. You certainly deserved your certificate.

They also loved the DIY update on the fairy houses.
“Wow all the children have done brilliant. It looks amazing, well done! I’m sure the fairies will love it 🧚‍🧚. Nancy looks like she was concentrating very hard 😊. Well done Nancy & all the other children, it looks brilliant. Very colourful 👍” I wonder if the fairies have been enjoying their new homes over the summer?

Holiday Fun

It was lovely to hear from one of our families in the holidays. They have been looking at our photos of the children making bug hotels.

“The kids look like they have had loads of fun making mini beast homes. Letti, Oscar and Harli made ‘bug boxes’ last week with Dad for our back garden.”

This sounds like great fun to do at home. I wonder how many minibeasts will come to live in your boxes? We are looking forward to seeing what has happened to our bug hotel when we return to Nursery.
