Playground Buddies

We have had another lovely comment about our P6 buddies from Aoife’s family:

“Aoife has loved visiting the playground with her buddy Lauren and she also gets to see her big sister Freya when she’s out. Thank you so much to Lauren for looking after her, it lets us parents know they’re being well looked after.”

It’s great to hear that Aoife has been enjoying her visits. Well done Lauren. I know that Aoife looks forward to your visits.

Responsible Citizens

One of the parents of our buddies has been looking at the photos of the older children helping our children in the playground:

“Best foot forward lovely to see and her wee buddy”

We think that some good relationships are being formed to support our children’s transition to Primary 1. Primary 6 are really showing themselves to be responsible citizens.

Thank You

Thom’s Mum has left us a lovely comment about our Fun Activity Day:

“It was a great morning, so proud of all the children…I certainly would find it difficult to do all of the activities they did in front of such a big audience. Its a great way to develop their confidence. The medals were a great idea too. Thanks to all the staff, it must take a lot of organisation and chatting to other parents, everyone seems very impressed and it went well beyond expectations. Thank you.”

Thank you so much for your kind comments. You are right, the children did show great confidence to perform in front of a large audience – they were little stars. Thanks also must go to all the family and friends who encouraged the children so much.

Well Done

Two people have left comments on our Fun Activity Day photos. Mrs. Gray said,

“Well done to all the boys and girls on great teamwork at Sports Day. I am proud of you all.”

Dylan’s family also enjoyed the day:

“We thoroughly enjoyed coming to watch Dylan and all his friends at their fun activity day yesterday, they all done extremely well and looked lyk they all enjoyed themselves,.we are so proud of Dylan and was good to see how confident he was. Thankyou for a lovely enjoyable morning, all the kids and staff done well “

It was lovely to see the children so happy and confident.

Lots of Fun

Olivia’s Mummy has been looking at our photos of the children practising for today’s Fun Activity Day:

“I have loved hearing about your fun activity day from Olivia and she has been practising with her daddy!! It sounds lots of fun! Unfortunately I am working tomorrow but looking forward to seeing all the photographs. I am sure all the boys and girls will have a fab day and I will cross my fingers for some sunshine! :)”

Let’s hope the rain stays away all day so that we can enjoy all our activities.

Wonderful Trip

Paulina’s Mum left a comment about our visit to the police station:

“Thank you I could be a part of this wonderful trip to the police. It was very lovely time with children. Monika (Paulina’s mum)”

Thank you very much for coming with us. We couldn’t manage trips out to our community without all our parent helpers.

Police Visit

Thom’s family has been looking at our photos at the police station:

“We had a fabulous time at the police station, so pleased i could come along too. Thom liked the handcuffs best, he was amazed the Policeman let us look at them! All the Staff were brilliant with the children. Thom has been looking out for the cctv cameras in town and waving at the police!”

Thanks for helping us that day – it’s always lovely to have parents with us. There seemed to be a few children who enjoyed trying out the handcuffs. I wonder if the police officers have seen you waving Thom? I’m sure it will make their day if they do.

Garden Delivery

Thom’s family has been looking at the photos of the children busy with the new bark in the garden:

“Thom was very keen to show me the big blue bag when we walked past it on our way home, I notice though he wasn’t there to help with the hard work! I’m surprised as he usually likes getting mucky! We happened to be passing when the truck brought the next bag and he was very pleased the driver waved to us.”

Lots of the children have been helping to spread the next delivery as part of their play. What started out as a little hill of bark is slowly being dug, raked and spread to make a much improved base for our digging area so well done to all those children who have been helping out.
