A fun time was had by all at our Christmas parties yesterday with something for everyone, be it games, dancing or party food. The children from the Rainbow and Sunshine Rooms played confidently together and were delighted to have a visit from Santa, despite it being such a busy time of year for him. Thank you Santa – we all really appreciated your visit.

We have had two more lovely comments from our families about our Christmas celebration.
Thom’s Mum said, “We absolutely loved the concert, everyone did so well, we were all so proud. Thank you!”
Finlay’s family also enjoyed the children’s performance: “What a great photo of Finlay. We were so proud of him on Friday, he had been practising his songs at home so it was lovely to see him performing them . All the children worked so hard learning the words and actions to their Christmas songs. A lot of hard work from the children and staff. Well done.”

“We absolutely loved watching the children in their Christmas celebration, we are very proud of Dylan and all the other boys and girls as they done really well, standing up infront of a big audience singing their wee hearts out and all looked so cute. We hope that, like us, you were very proud of all the children as they behaved and sang so beautifully in front of a big audience at our Christmas celebration on Friday. Huge thanks go to Rev. McGougan, Mrs. Alexander and Mr. Palmer for joining us and to the many family members who helped to make this a special occasion for the children. Do you remember this photo with the caption “Goodbye Miss Awde”? Well, we are delighted to say it’s now “Hello Miss Awde” as she is back with us as a permanent member of staff. Miss Awde was successful at interview for the one day a week post and will work as a Nursery Nurse on a Friday in the Sunshine Room. Children and staff alike are delighted to have Miss Awde back as part of our Nursery.
Kacey’s family has been looking at some of our photos and commented on how she enjoyed our recent Family Learning activity:
“Kacey enjoyed making her Christmas decorations ( so did I) we had a great time , sadly our rain deer nose didn’t last very long so we made him a non edible one!”
Kacey’s Mum also wanted to congratulate everyone on the fundraising efforts for the Carlisle flood victims and for the performance at Annan Day Care Centre.

The children have certainly made us so proud in lots of ways over the last week or two so a huge ‘well done’ to all of you.
After the super singing of the morning Sunshine children at Annan Court Care Home, it was the turn of the Rainbow morning children to make a visit in our community to Annan Day Care Centre earlier this week.
Yet again our little Nursery children made us very proud as they confidently sung their Christmas songs to the ladies and gentlemen in the audience. It was lovely to see some of the audience joining in with the actions and songs so thank you everyone for making us feel welcome.
After lots of singing, it’s great to have a refreshing drink and the ladies in charge very kindly provided us with juice which was much appreciated. Thank you boys and girls for behaving so beautifully and providing great entertainment in our local community. We hope to have more opportunities to perform again in the future with different groups.
In the meantime, we hope that all our families are looking forward to our Christmas celebration tomorrow (Friday) with Rev. McGougan when you can hear the children’s singing for yourselves. We look forward to seeing you there.
