Fairy Garden Feedback

We have comments from three different families who have been looking at the photos of the children decorating their fairy houses:

“Lovely to see Enid getting involved in the activities, but they look such good fun, I guess she couldn’t resist!”

“Great picture of Owen, in full concentration 😀”

“lovley to see Bethany joining in and she had told me a lot about making these she has really enjoyed it”

The children have certainly put a lot of effort into making their houses and this activity produced some super discussions. Thank you to all the parents who are taking the time to comment on our posts. It’s great to get feedback and to know that you are accessing our blog.

Fairy Garden

After using the hammer and chisel to make doors and windows in the fairy houses, decoration was the next stage. As you can see, the children chose bright colours to complete their houses then it was time to place them in a quiet corner of the garden. A shiny river had to be decorated with blue stones and the brightly painted shells and stones were placed round the little garden. The children seem quite pleased with their work and we think that they have made a lovely little fairy garden, all created from their own imagination.

Fun With Gloop

Quinn’s family has been looking at the photos of the gloop:

“Quinn looks like she is having fun, very nice of Lily’s mam to fetch the slime in for the children to play with.”

The children really did love this fun activity both indoors and out. Thank you so much to Lily’s Mum who left a comment about her gloop:

Glad all the children enjoyed playing with the gloop. Sorry about the mess! 🙈”

I think that you can see from their faces how much they all enjoyed it and the children certainly didn’t seem to worry about the mess.

Fairies

While creating our fairy garden, the children thought it might be a good idea to make some fairies of our own. They were very busy with glue, pens, pegs and material and it was quite a tricky job because, as we all know, fairies are very small so some careful work was required. However, some beautiful little characters were created and they now live in the fairy garden. We are wondering if they may encourage other little fairies to join them?

“It’s Slime, Slime, Slime!”

We all had great fun recently with a lovely present from Lily’s Mum who brought in a big tray of green gloop. As you can see from the photos below, the children absolutely loved this messy experience and, as well as the photos, we have captured some of their comments on how it felt.

Harvey L.: it’s wobbly.
Leah P.: it’s squidgy.
Danielle: it’s cold.
Leah M.: it feels yukky. It’s like glue and sugar. It’s sliding off my fingers.
Quinn: it’s so gooey.
Lily: it’s slime, slime, slime.
Owen: it’s like glue.
Finlay: it’s all slime.
Francesca: it feels like sticky soap.
Chloe: it feels weird. I can’t get it off my hands.
Harris N.: it’s gooey. It’s not dry but it’s kind of dry. It smells like porridge.
Callum: it feels like sparkles.
Isobella: it’s getting very hard.

We will all be friends.

Olivia’s family was pleased with the photo showing our Nursery rules:

“What a lovely picture to go alongside an important rule! Olivia has enjoyed making friends with the new boys and girls that have  recently started at nursery! 🙂”

‘We will all be friends’ is an important rule in Nursery. It’s lovely to see children making new friends this year after some have moved on to Primary 1.
