Happy Families

Several families have kindly left comments on our photos. Summer’s Granny has been looking at the lovely photo of Summer with her recent certificate:

“We are very proud of Summer.”

How lovely Summer to make your family so proud. We are proud of your achievements too.

Ava and Neve’s Mums have been looking at the photos of the Family Learning make and take activities:

“Ava and mummy had great fun at the make and take. Ava especially liked making the chocolate sparklers.”

So that’s what the chocolate fingers were for Ava. Maybe you could make some chocolate sparklers at home?

“me and Neve had a great time making these lanterns Neve puts it on every night.”

The lanterns did look good. I’m sure your home looks cosy with your lovely new lamp Neve.

Make and Take

Lots of children and their families tried out our Family Learning ‘Make and Take’ on Tuesday. Scissors, glue, Autumn leaves and chocolate fingers were on the tables when I popped in and it looked there was lots of super concentration going on as the children created their little Autumn lamps. Thank you so much to Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, for organising this lovely activity. We hope that those attending Friday’s sessions have good fun too.

Hallowe’en Outfits

Several families have been enjoying looking at the photos from Hallowe’en.

“Isaac had a lot of fun dressing up on Monday, he’s looking forward to doing it again for the disco on Thursday.”

“Joshua (H) looks so happy here with the other children dressed up. Brilliant costumes everyone 👍😊 “

“Callum was very excited to be going into nursery dressed up. He had lots of fun with his friends. We have had a good look at the photos and all the children’s costumes are excellent. We thought Harper looked fantastic🤗 “

It was lovely to see so many of the children excited to be dressed up. They really looked the part. Well done everyone! We will look forward to seeing some of you dressed up at the disco tomorrow.

Witches, Skeletons, the Mad Hatter and a Troll

Witches, skeletons, even the Mad Hatter and a troll arrived in Nursery on Monday for Hallowe’en. There were so many different outfits to be amazed by that the list is too long to make. Thank you to all those who helped their children play the part for Hallowe’en – here are photos we managed to capture of some of those super outfits.

Family Learning Make and Take

We would like to remind you that our Family Learning “Autumn Make and Take” activities are this week. Lots of families put their names on the list last term to help their children make a leaf lamp and chocolate sparklers so we hope that you have fun with Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator.

Sessions this week are
Tuesday 1st November 9-10, 10.45-11.45, 12.15-1.15 or 2.00-3.00.
Friday 4th November 10.45-11.45 or 12.15-1.15.

If you are attending the sessions at 9.00 or 12.15 please go straight to the Family Learning room (opposite the school hall) once you have dropped your child off at Nursery. If you are coming for the 10.45 or 2.15 sessions please come into school via the front door entrance. Once you have met Eileen, your children will be brought from Nursery to join you.

Shopping

With all our work in the garden last term making a fairy garden, a sensory planter and some outdoor seating, we inevitably ran out of materials so a helpful little group went down town with staff to replenish our supplies. As well as shopping for varnish and some new brushes, the children took the opportunity to look for signs of Autumn on their walk and brought some lovely finds back for our display area.
