Confident Performance

As promised, here are some photos of the afternoon children just before their Christmas celebration. Just like the morning children, they showed confidence in their performance and sang beautifully for their families. Well done to everyone and thank you so much to all those who provided a wonderful audience for the children.

Christmas Celebration

We hope that, like us, you were very proud of all the children as they behaved and sang so beautifully in front of a big audience at our Christmas celebration today. Huge thanks go to Rev. Pickles and Mr. Palmer for joining us and to the many family members who helped to make this a special occasion for the children. Here are a few photos of the morning children as they prepared for their performance. We will post photos of the afternoon children soon.

Singing Practice

Joshua H’s Mum has been looking at the photos of the children practising their Christmas songs:

“Aw Joshua looks stunned like he’s been caught off guard. Was the flash on the camera? Lol”

No doubt Joshua was concentrating on the actions as well as the singing. We hope that everyone enjoyed the children singing today.

Christmas Celebration

We hope that you are all looking forward to our Christmas celebration tomorrow, Tuesday 13th December. Morning parents can join us at 11.20 and afternoon parents at 2.20. The Nursery door will be opened for entry through the usual entrance and parents/carers can park in the John Bell car park.
We are keeping our Christmas celebration informal to encourage the children to enjoy a relaxed and happy performance of the songs they have been learning. Rev. Pickles has kindly agreed to join us and we are delighted that many of our families have indicated that they would like to be part of our celebration. As you can see, the children have been practising to make sure that you enjoy their songs. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Super Shoppers

Some photos from a while back of a group of children on a shopping expedition show them off to the town to buy brushes and varnish to prepare the tree trunk seating in the garden. As you can see, they showed independence skills as they found what they needed in the shop and paid for them. Thank you for being so helpful boys and girls – you were super shoppers.

Thank You

chocbasketsOur chocolate Christmas shapes were very popular at the Christmas Fayre last night and were sold in no time so well done to all those children who helped to make them. It was lovely to see lots of Nursery children and their families visiting the Fayre and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to the grand total of £2095.24 raised by this event, whether by donating to our hampers, buying squares or attending the Fayre.
The Hecklegirth Fundraisers group has already kindly donated money towards our Christmas party so our sincere thanks go to everyone involved.

Chocolate Shapes

Olivia’s family has been looking at the photos of the children making the Christmas chocolate shapes:

“Olivia had a fantastic time creating these chocolate shapes! She has been telling us all about what happens to chocolate when you heat it! Just ashame she is unwell and wasn’t able to go to the Xmas fayre! I’m sure it was a huge success!”

Well done Olivia for remembering what you learned. We hope that you feel better soon.
