Bradley made a fantastic animal habitat ‘pop up’ and Zoe did some research on rabbits at home. Zoe also spotted some interesting leaves on her way to school! Thank you for bringing your work into show us. Great job you two! 🙂

We have been revising our knowledge of place value in maths. We have have been building numbers and splitting them up. We have been challenging ourselves by writing bigger numbers and talking about the value of different digits in a number. We have also been adding and subtracting 10, 100 and 1000 from different numbers and explaining the strategies that help us to do this.
During an outdoor learning morning we took time to find and really look at interesting leaves, rocks, twigs and berries in the playground. Taking time to study different objects from nature really helped us to feel calm and focused. We also enjoyed talking to our friends about what we found, pointing out different markings and colours.
We made sketchbooks and using nature as inspiration, we filled them with drawings. It is amazing what you notice when you really stop and take a closer look! 🙂
Today we had our first ‘Play in the Pod’ session this term. We were a little delayed getting out due to the rain but once it was off there was no stopping us! Miss Douglas was impressed with our creations and we had a great time!
