We needed to find items to make a necklace for a castle dweller. The items needed to be the same weight as the rod or cubes we carried.

We used our hands as pan balances and checked the weight of the items once we returned to class.

We made a collection of items which weighed the same as a 10 rod or 5 cubes.

Then we calculated how much the necklace would weigh if it contained all the items we had found.
