We spent some time this afternoon talking about the Story of Easter. After watching a video and taking some notes in our groups, we planned out three freeze frames. We then mimed out the three scenes in front of the class. We all enjoyed performing!

We were excited to have Louie back today. He told us all about his adventures at Euro Disney and we asked him some questions too. He told us his favourite part of the trip was meeting Mickey and going on all of the rides….even the big scary ones because he is brave!!!
To round off our learning all about gymnastic skills including space, balance and movement, jumping and rolling, we had time using our growing skill on some apparatus. We had to be careful and safe, but had so much fun! Look at these photos of our amazing gym work…
We read some stories about Mums and about loving others. We shared all of the fantastic things about our own mums with our friends and created some lovely gifts to give on Mother’s Day. We created heart shaped sun catchers using collage, bookmarks using our fingerprints and did some drawing and writing all about our Mums. Here are some examples of our beautiful artwork.
Thanks to all who came to Parents Night so far. It was great to see everyone and to share your child’s learning journey, their progress and next steps. Once again, thanks for all of your support! I can’t believe that’s 3 out of 4 terms of p1 almost complete! Looking forward to seeing everyone else tomorrow too!

We have been using all of our number learning to create these lovely ‘story of 10’ rainbows. It was a tricky job, but we used our Numicon to help us to see the ‘special friends’ who make 10 if we needed some help. They match our large rainbow on the window. This is there to help us to remember the importance of being confident and quick in remembering what numbers add to 10 as this skill is very important.
