Parent Council

The Parent Council is an elected group of parents with the main duty to represent the views of all the parents at the school (the Parent Forum). We do this by:
  • Supporting the work of the school
  • Organising social and fundraising events
  • Promoting contact between all parents and the rest of the school community
  • Discussing anything that’s of interest to parents
  • Ensuring all parents from different backgrounds are listened to and understand what the Parent Council does

Parent Council meetings occur once a term and are public meetings, open to all members of the Parent Forum.  Opinions from the parent forum are greatly appreciated. If you have a specific issue that you would like raised or you would like to bring to the PC, then please let the Chair or other PC member know about this in advance.

It is not the role of a Parent Council to tackle individual issues however, if you have an issue that is effecting you then it could be an opportunity to look at the whole school policy in that area and see if that policy has been updated recently or how it is implemented. The Parent Council can then make recommendations to the school.
