This academic year we have celebrated two curricular events, Maths Week Scotland and Book Week Scotland. Mr Scotland and Mrs Speed co-ordinated events including a family evening event for both curricular weeks. In previous years curricular events had been in-person but unfortunately with Covid 19 these events have been virtual but still proved to be popular and just as successful. Over the course of these weeks children are able to participate in different activities which help promote the learning and attainment as well as involving parent/carers in the learning. In these events learners experienced activities in virtual author ‘visits’, dressing as a book character, reading cafe, using maths to create artwork, using maths outdoors and how maths is used in everyday lives.
