Uniform and PE Clothing

School uniform is very important in Alva Primary School as it makes us look smart and represents our school.  Below is an overview of the uniform expectations for 2023-24;

– Plain black trousers, skirt or dress (Grey also acceptable)

– White shirt or polo shirt (worn with or without a school tie)

– Black jumper (with or without school badge)

– Black shoes

Sweatshirts and polo shirts with the Alva Primary logo are available to buy from Scotcrest. We would ask that hoodies are not worn as a school jumper. Pupils wearing hoodies will be asked to remove them and hang them in the cloakroom.

We now have a store of uniform that is available to all our families, for free, from our school reception. This is available for collection at any time during school hours, should you require it. There is also a collection of jackets and outerwear.

On P.E. days, we ask that pupils come dressed for P.E. in the following manner;

– Black joggers, leggings or, weather appropriate, shorts

– Black, white or house coloured plain t-shirts.

– School jumpers on top.

– Appropriate footwear.

Jewellery should not be worn for safety reasons on PE days. Long hair should also be tied up.
