Term 2 update

Dear readers,

Sorry, we have been running very late at updating our blog. We hope you forgive us for that and enjoy reading  about term 2’s learning.

We also had a very busy time in December doing Christmas crafts and working with other classes which unfortunately did not give us much time to write our blog.

In week 3, we have been learning about the planet Earth for our topic. Also in our topic we made the layers of earth with playdough.

We have also been learning multiplication chimney sums.

We learnt about root words in spelling for example respectful. The root word in there is ‘respect’ and the suffix is ‘ful’.

We were on part two of “the boy who swam with piranhas”.

In week 4 we continued to read “The boy who swam with piranhas”. Stan whistled ‘It’s a long long way to Tipperary’ because he needed to find the goldfish seller.

On Tuesday we had a football lesson with an Aberdeen football player called Arron. We had lots of fun with him and played lots of different football games. We played some games like running around the hall and when Arron said “stop” we had to freeze and Arron had to make us laugh and tried to make us move.

Our spelling sounds this week are /ee/. It is spelt in five different ways like e ee ie e-e ea. Some words are please, bee, Millie.

-Billy and Ruby
