Health and Wellbeing Grid 1 – Hot Challenge – Reflective Journal

I have taken time to reflect upon and write about my experiences this week.

I used Book Creator on the iPad.

I do feel much better for doing this.

To put the Book Creator journal in my Sway I exported it as a video.

When I played it in Sway it was fine but possibly a bit sombre so I added a soundtrack to the video journal in movie maker before I inserted it into Sway.

You have the option to download a PDF of your book in Book Creator as well as exporting as a video.

This is a PDF of the journal – it takes quite a while to load with our internet connection at home.

Tuesday Tunes: HOT Literacy Haiku Poem Challenge- Miss Deans

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are all settled into our home learning experience and have had time to relax and chill and do fun things!

You may still be getting to grasp with our learning grids and trying to decide which task to do first, one of our hot literacy challenges is to create a Haiku poem, FUN FACT ALERT!!!

Did you know that Haiku poems can feature in songs,  so far I have found lots that unfortunately you may not know but your parents would, HOWEVER I have managed to find one that actually we have featured in an assembly before,  Can anyone correctly guess this  song ?  Please leave your answers in the comments.

Thanks Miss Deans 🙂

The Adventures of Littlecat

Good morning everyone!

Meet Littlecat – my lovely 9 year old tabby.

She’s very friendly and pretty smart too.  I’ve trained her to sit, lie down, give a paw and jump up on her hind legs.  However, she also likes getting up to mischief.  Some of you may already have heard about her exploits – like sleeping in the kitchen drawer, getting stuck on the garage roof, or hiding 56 (yes, 56!) clothes pegs under the tumble-dryer.  She would carry them in her mouth, line them up in front of the tumble-dryer, and shoot them under it with her paw as if she was scoring a goal.

Imagine if she came to stay with you … what kind of adventures would you have together?  Who would get into more trouble – you or her?

Why not write a short story about what you would both get up to? Remember – she IS mischievous – and very smart!

Have fun.  🙂
