Guide Dog Donation
My friends and I made a stall at the Ballater School Christmas Fair to raise money for guide dogs. I came up with the idea because I saw a letter in the mail that had a guide dog puppy looking hungry. It said on the letter that £3.oo can feed a guide dog puppy for a week. Then I went to school and thought that my friends could help me and they were really excited about the idea. That following Friday a guide dog puppy came to school and we took it round the classes. The puppy’s name was Lennox and it’s owner told us that from the moment it is trained to when it retires it costs £50,000. Click here to find out more!

Making Trouser Bowls
We made trouser bowls for Ballater Christmas Fair. They were made out of paper mache .Paper mache is newspaper and PVA glue. We, p6/7, made these trouser bowls, they took us 10 hours of our life to make.We used newspaper , PVA glue , balloons ,paint brushes , metallic pens , acrylic paint , plant pots , polystyrene cups, scissors and sellotape. We made 48 of them.they were made by us putting newspaper on an a balloon with glue on it and letting it dry for 36 hours and once it had dried we moulded the polystyrene cups and stuck them on the bowl. Then we did what we did to the bowl and let it dry. After we let it dry, we painted it with the acrylic paint and let that dry too. When it dried we titivated it with the metallic pens and then put a layer of PVA glue on it to shine it up. We were proud of our products. By Ryszard and Kieran.

Craigendarroch Christmas Tree Light Switch On
First everyone went outside and gathered round the choir. It was freezing and sleeting. Then some small children pushed the button that turns on the 2100 fairy lights on the tree. After that the choir started to sing, We Wish You a Merry Christmas then Make Your Way Up To Bethlehem next Away In A Manger and The Flood. If you were in the Choir you got hot chocolate with marshmallows and shortbread or mince pies. Mrs Beaton and Mrs Duckworth were there to help the Choir sing. The Choir sang very nicely and loudly which was good.
