Litter pick!

Primary 7s had a very busy day today (12th June) clearing up rubbish from the Meadows. They were shocked at the amount of rubbish, and by the sort of things that people are thoughtlessly throwing away. As well as the normal glass and plastic bottles, food wrappers and containers they were surprised to find old electrical items, furniture and bikes had been thrown away instead of being disposed of properly.

They contacted the council, who came later in the day to remove the large piles of rubbish that they had collected.

Well done P7!

GOTCHA!

A group of P6 and 7s will be ending their GOTCHA training with an adventure in the Bin forest on Thursday and Friday this week.

First they will use their map reading skills to make their way through the forest to their camping site. They will then camp overnight in the forest. Hopefully they will be able to use their campfire making skills to toast some marshmallows.

We hope the weather stays dry for them.

Whatever the weather, we are sure they will have a great time!

GOTCHA!

A group of P6 and 7 pupils have been very lucky to have been chosen to take part in GOTCHA.

They have been training over the past few weeks, learning outdoor skills such as cooking on a campfire.

Next week they will be camping overnight in the Bin Forest

Gardening

As you know gardening is one of  the hobbies and we are wondering if anyone would be free when hobbies end to go and help at the schools allotment, especially in the summer holidays.

If you could it would be very appreciated, even if you couldn’t do it you might know someone who could! Also a note will be sent out soon.We have been weeding most of the time but we have also been painting the bench.Yesterday Mrs Moir came to see us working, she looked at our sunflowers in the greenhouse, she saw the tree we have in a pot that we planted planted ourselves. She was very proud!
