APPS

There are also lots of apps that are useful for practising basic skills. Here are a few Angus school favourites.

Deep Sea Duel Free Children are challenged to collect cards with a specified sum.  The level of difficulty can be changed and sums can include whole numbers or decimals.
Protractor Tool £0.99 Allows children to measure and understand the relationship between different objects and varying angles
Fraction Tool £0.99 This app will visually represent a fraction as a decimal on a pie chart.  It is recommended for ages 8 to 99!
Sudoku – throwdown the numbers 2 Free Nine square grid puzzles to develop your child’s reasoning skills.
Equation Creations Free Allows children of all ages to explore the playful, creative side of maths through pattern and computer animation.
CCSS Math 6-8 Free Offers games to help develop children’s understanding of different maths topics in fun and engaging ways. The first 5 games are free. Recommended age range 11-13.
