Scottish Government is committed to ensuring that all children and young people are equipped with the skills they need for life and work. By 2021, every school in Scotland will offer children the opportunity to learn a first additional language from primary one and a second additional language by primary five. This will continue until they reach the end of S3.
The resources in this section will help parents understand better the importance of languages and enable parents to support their child better in their language learning.
