CEOP

Thinkuknow Introduction Course
FREE – Run by a CEOP Ambassador

Aims of the course
This course is run by a CEOP trained Ambassador (i.e. a professional who has completed our Ambassador training course). The Thinkuknow Introduction course provides an overview of; the CEOP Command, the Thinkuknow education programme, new technologies and how children and young people use them, the main risks associated with these online environments, and how the Thinkuknow education resources respond to these risks.

Who is it for?
This introductory course is aimed at professionals who work with children and young people including: teachers, youth workers, social workers, police officers and child protection professionals.

CEOP Ambassador Course

Duration: Full day. Cost: from £249 (VAT inclusive)

Course Aims
The CEOP Ambassador course is a one day ‘train the trainer’ course delivered by the CEOP Education Team. It focuses on the protection of children and young people from online sexual abuse and exploitation. Following the course delegates will become CEOP Ambassadors with an important role cascading the Thinkuknow training programme to other professionals. The CEOP Ambassador course is supplementary to any statutory Child Protection training.

Who is it for?
The course is aimed at professionals working within in the statutory, educational and voluntary sectors.

CEOP and NSPCC

Keeping Children Safe online
A nine-module CPD certified online training course developed jointly by the NSPCC and CEOP, the child protection command of the National Crime Agency (NCA). It should take 4 hours to complete the course and costs £30 per person..

Course Aims
Working at your own pace, Keeping Children Safe Online (KCSO) will help you gain the skills to act appropriately and confidently to protect the children and young people you work with. It will develop your knowledge on how children and young people use the internet, and how to help keep them safe from abuse. KCSO is a joint initiative between the NSPCC and CEOP, aimed at any professional working directly with children and young people.
