Pupils study 3 units:

  • European and World: The Persecution of the Jews and the Holocaust.  
  • Scottish: The life & reign of Mary, Queen of Scots and the Scottish Reformation (1542-1587).
  • British: The Growth of Democracy in Britain and Women & the Vote.

Assessment:

  • Regular class based and homework tasks will be assessed formatively.
  • Each unit has a summative assessment testing a mixture of knowledge, understanding and skills.
  • An assignment based on a chosen aspect of the course will be undertaken. 

Progression Pathway:
