Spanish: Advanced Higher

Recommended Entry Requirements:

• Higher Spanish A or B

Course Content:

The Advanced Higher course comprises three units:

• Understanding Language (assessing the skills of reading and listening) – to cover the following areas: Topical Issues, Personal and Social Issues, Environmental Issues
• Using Language (assessing the skills of talking and writing)
• Specialist Study (assessing the skills of critical reading and research in either a literary or language in work context).

Assessment:

• Advanced Higher Spanish is assessed via a combination of a talking assessment carried out by an external assessor, an externally assessed exam – comprising two papers – and writing assignment.
