Last week Britain enjoyed Pie Week; Monday 14th was another type of pie. It was π (Pi) Day. This is because when written in the American Short Date form the 14th March is: 3.14 which is, of course is: π
Pi (π) is a very important mathematical number because it is essential when working with circles and spheres. Over the years it has baffled mathematicians because it is seemingly an unending number but not like a 1/3 which is 0.3333333333333333333333333…; endlessly. Pi’s (π) digits keep changing with no end. Or does it?
