We have been learning how to make sensible guesses when trying to find a number.  Try playing the game that we have played in class by clicking here.    We have been trying to focus on a challenge/number that suits our level.  You could try entering a number between 0-20, 0-100, 0-1000.  We have been learning how to find the halfway point to make our guesses more accurate.  Reply to this post with the number of guesses that you took  Have fun!

Circles and squares – Number bonds to 100 pairs game.  Print the cards for a pairs game by clicking here.  Cut them out and then use them to play pairs.  Try to make totals of 100.  Write down the sums that you have made.  Don’t forget the switchers.

Rectangles –  Number bonds to 10 pairs game.  Print the cards for a pairs game by clicking here.  Cut them out and then use them to play pairs.  Try to make totals of 10.  Write down the sums that you have made.  Don’t forget the switchers

Pentagons –  Try making your own pairs game by making cards that match to make 1000.  We have played a lot of pairs games in class recently so should understand what is needed and how the game works.  Cut out at least 10 squares or rectangles for your cards.  Write one number in each card.  One card might have 700 on it.  It would need a matching card of 300.  We have been learning how to use 50 to make totals of 1000 too.  Try making some of your cards have 50 in them.
