Higher Revision in a Nutshell

The National Parent Forum for Scotland have produced new Revision in a Nutshell guides for the new Highers (20 subjects) and updated Revision guides for National 5s (20 subjects).

These revision guides contain direct links to SQA specimen question papers, exemplar question papers plus past question papers, where appropriate. They are designed as digital resources and work well with iPads or other tablets.
The guides advise learners to check with their teachers to make sure that material is relevant. The guides are primarily intended to provide the SQA direct links by subject in one place, and to give some additional revision opportunities (if relevant) which are web-links to school pages or to the websites of subject-relevant organisations.

Easter Bulletin

The Northfield Academy Easter Bulletin is now available to download.

This bulletin is packed full of more success stories from our pupils. It has been another very busy term, and for our senior students the next two months are going to be even busier. As a school we must continue to strive to improve exam results; last year saw significant improvement but continued hard work must lead to further improvements this year. Teaching staff have again been offering additional study opportunities and we are pleased to report that a number of pupils have been taking up these opportunities. We would urge you to make sure your son or daughter is taking
full advantage of these sessions.

We would like to wish everyone a good holiday and a very happy Easter.

Northfield Academy’s Eco Group aims to encourage all local primary schools and clubs to participate in a week long litter awareness week starting on Monday 27th April to Friday 1st May.
More information on how to organise your own spring clean can be found at www.cleanupscotland.com, and the pledge can be signed at www.cleanupscotland.com/pledge
