Primary 6 have been learning about the Victorians this term.
We have been working with Allan Paterson to learn all about Victorian Aberdeen. Mr Paterson visited the class to share lots of interesting information about Aberdeen in the Victorian times, then took us on a Victorian trail to see some of the buildings for ourselves!
We finished our trip with a visit to the Maritime Museum. We got to see examples of Victorian toys and clothing – they were very different from our toys and clothing today!
Primary 6 are working hard to improve fitness and stamina levels this term.
To help us achieve this goal we have started to complete the ‘Mile a Day’ challenge. We try to go outside and walk or run for approximately a mile – several times a week. We really enjoy getting outside and running together to keep fit!
This term, we have been lucky enough to have a football coach come into school to help our class learn the key skills of playing football.
So far we have learned how to dribble accurately and also how to play fairly without cheating.
Please take a look at the P6 Term 3 Newsletter for information about what we will be learning this term.

This morning, Primary 6 had a visitor from the SSPCA. Her name was Jackie and she came to tell us all about how to look after our pets correctly and to remind us what we should do if we have concerns about an animal.
We learned lots of new interesting animal facts and had lots of fun while doing so! Thank you for visiting Jackie!
