P4 Homework for Friday 17^th May

Spelling

• Copy words twice more (look, cover, write, check).
• Write a sentence using each of your words.

Writing

• Speech marks sheet. Add speech marks to each sentence.

Maths

• 8 times table sheet.

Week beginning 13th May

For the next week the P4 boys and girls will be learning 2 different sounds.

Foxes = o_e (mole)

Hedgehogs = n as ng (anchor)

They will focus on these phonemes for the week. Please play with them and encourage them to build their knowledge and understanding around theses sounds and blends.

We will be working on the following CLIC Targets this week

C – I can count in 8s

L – 8 x table

I – Smile Multiplication Fact Families 

8 x 40 = 320

40 x 8 = 320

320 ÷ 8 = 40

320 ÷ 40 = 8

C – Addition: 3 digits + 3 digits

Try to make any maths work at home as fun as possible – games, puzzles and jigsaws are a great way to start. It is also important to show how we use maths skills in our everyday lives so try to involve your child in this.
