We will be working on the following CLIC Targets this week

I can count along even when the numbers aren’t written in

4 x table

I know the Fact Families for 1 digit x 1 digit facts

C – I can use a tables fact to find a division fact (with remainders)

Try to make any maths work at home as fun as possible – games, puzzles and jigsaws are a great way to start. It is also important to show how we use maths skills in our everyday lives so try to involve your child in this.

P4 Homework

  • 1 written spelling activity with either ie/igh/i-e or ue/ew/u-e
  • Look at a newspaper and bring in an interesting headline
  • Find out at least 3 facts about climate change
  • Complete the headline sheet

Please have tasks completed by Friday 22nd March.

Phonics and Skills

Week beginning 18th March

For the next two weeks the P4 boys and girls will be learning 2 different sounds.

Foxes = ie/igh/i-e

Badger & Hedgehogs = ue/ew/u-e

They will focus on these phonemes for two weeks. Please play with them and encourage them to build their knowledge and understanding around theses sounds and blends.

Internet Legends

We were developing our skills of being KIND on the internet this week. We played Kind Kingdom and successfully completed the course but found the game challenging!

P4 Homework

  • 1 written spelling activity with either ee/ea/e-e or oa/ow/o-e
  • Practise your photography skills and send in/print a picture you take
  • Maths sheet
  • Play a game with someone in your family
