Pupil of the Week

Our congratulations go to Freya for being chosen as Pupil of the Week! Freya demonstrated a fantastic level of independence during her Digital Literacy task and navigated her way around Microsoft Word brilliantly. Well done, Freya!

Pupil of the Week

Congratulations to Rosita on her Pupil of the Week Award! We were all absolutely delighted to see Rosita score her first ever 17 in her Big Maths Beat That Challenge on Friday! She has been desperate to achieve this for some time so we were very proud of her. Let’s see if you can do it again this week Rosita – keep up the great work!

Star of the Week

Our congratulations go to Bradley who was chosen as our star for the week! Bradley did an outstanding job of dividing with remainders. He also impressed us with his amazing alliteration work as part of our author study. Way to go, Bradley!

Pupil of the Week

Huge congratulations to Kai on his Pupil of the Week Award today! Kai is developing the most beautiful handwriting and has been taking so much care with the presentation of his written work! Keep up the fantastic work Kai – we are extremely  proud of you!

Author Study

Over the next few weeks, all the children in Abbotswell will be taking part in a mini topic focusing on a chosen Author. In P3/4, Miss Dezall is introducing us to one of her favourite childhood authors – Robert Munsch. Robert Munsch is an American-born Canadian author who has had more than 50 children’s book’s published, some of which have been international best sellers. The children are absolutely loving the books we have looked at so far this week – we’re sure they’ll be keen to share the stories they have heard with you!

Pupil of the Week

Congratulations to Franek on being awarded our Pupil of the Week! Franek has shown exceptional enthusiasm when learning about the author we are studying this month. He has been listening very well to the books and trying hard with the follow-up tasks. Well done Franek – we are proud of you!

Festive Singing at Margaret Clyne Court

What a lovely time P3/4 had this afternoon singing some festive songs for the residents of Margaret Clyne Court! We thought it would be nice to go along and share our songs from the Christmas Concert along with a few other well known festive favourites. The children sang their hearts out and were a big hit with their audience! So proud of the way the children socialised and chatted with the residents. We are looking forward to seeing our Margaret Clyne Court friends again sometime soon!

What a Bunch of Stars!

Congratulations to these Stars from today’s Achievers Assembly! Lexie was our Pupil of the Week this week for sensational singing in our Christmas concert. She worked hard in all our rehearsals and always had a smile on her face! Lacey received the PE star award this term for always trying her best and working hard to improve her tennis and badminton skills. Finally, our Head Teachers Award for Term 2 went to Abira for persevering and always trying her best! Great job girls – we are so proud of you!
