This week we will be going to Kincorth library on Tuesday morning.

Homework – Spelling and reading homework will continue this week. Spelling words will be given home on Monday and the book should be returned to school on Friday.  Our spelling pattern is ea as in head and bread. Please write each word 3 times and choose 2 words and write a sentence with each. Spelling test will be on Friday so homework should be completed by then.

Reading – The children will get 2 new books this week on Monday and Thursday.

Maths

C – counting in 5s

L – 10 x table jumbled facts

I – doubling 2 digit numbers         double 42 is 84

C – multiplication      repeated addition

Our focus for other maths work this week will again be information handling. We will focus on Venn and Carroll and diagrams.

 

French – This week our French will be our daily routine of the day and date for our calendar. We will also focus on asking and answering –

How old are you?      Quel age a-tu?

I am 7 years old.    J’ai sept ans.

 

 

Topic – We have now finished reading The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark.

Last week we started looking at some other nocturnal animals and found out about hedgehogs. We will continue this week with some other animals that come out at night.
