This Friday we have our sponsored walk.

Homework – Spelling and reading homework will continue this week. Spelling words will be given home on a Monday and the book should be returned to school on a Friday.  Our spelling pattern is ir as in bird and girl. Please write each word 3 times and choose 2 words and write a sentence with each. Spelling test will be on Friday this week so homework should be completed by then.

Reading – The children will get 2 new books this week on Monday and Thursday.

Maths

C – counting in 2s

L – 7+4=11     8+4=12     9+4=13

I – fact families 1 digit + 1 digit      3+4=7, 4+3=7, 7-3=4, 7-4=3

C – multiplication by repeated addition    4×3 is 3+3+3+3

Our focus for other maths work has been shape and we will continue with it this week. The children have been learning about 2D shapes and that a pentagon has 5 sides, a hexagon has 6 sides and an octagon has 8 sides. This week we will be learning about 3D shapes.

French – This week our French will be our daily routine of days for our calendar and we will revise asking and answering “How are you?”
