The children used laptops to design their own flag patterns based on a given fraction. A rectangle had been cut into 24 pieces and 1/2 had to be one colour and 1/2 another. I was impressed with how well the class shared their pieces evenly and how creative they were with the patterns they created. They also enjoyed using the computers.
Do you like pizza? Of course you do and so do the children in Room 2. This week P1/2 turned into Pizza Express and the children became experts at finding fractions. Some of the pizzas were cut into halves and some were split into quarters. The children had to make sure that the toppings were divided equally between the sections. Well done everyone.
The children did an amazing job during our performance. We sang a Christmas song and told festive jokes. Everyone was nervous backstage but we were excited to see so many fans in the audience.
Room 2 had lots of fun today learning our sounds outside. We played a game where we had to listen for the sound and then try to find the letter that matched. We’re getting really good at it!
