Victorian Resources – The Victorian House
An interactive walkthrough.

There are facts on the typical contents of individual rooms in a ‘typical’ Victorian middle class house.
This can also be accessed by the pupils as a quiz/adventure, chasing a lost dog through the house, picking up clues from staff, and hearing about daily life en route. There is a certificate at the end. Helpfully, all the captions are read out so all can access.

I printed off each room picture as a visual resource so that pupils could create their own room in a shoe box, which could be stacked together with other who box/rooms to create a whole house. This could also be done with simple A3 landscape picture to which could be taped two A4 flap open sheets as a door, creating a dolls house style front which could be opened.
