Welcome

A very warm welcome to Maidens Primary School and Early Years Centre website.

Maidens Primary School and Early Years Centre is situated in the small village of Maidens, which lies 15 miles south of Ayr and 7 miles north of Girvan. Our catchment area includes Culzean, Turnberry, the historical inland village of Kirkoswald and many farms and country properties, over this very attractive rural area of South West Scotland.

As a small school we are very proud of our family atmosphere and we strive to not only provide the highest quality of education, but also to help our children become happy, successful and fulfilled individuals. Maidens is a small rural school and we pride ourselves on community involvement. Pupils have a strong voice in the school and influence the world around them by their involvement in local and global citizenship. Our children enjoy and benefit from a wide range of experiences planned by a dedicated and hardworking staff who challenge pupils to be all they can be.

Your child’s primary school years should be enjoyable and provide lasting memories for you to treasure. At Maidens Primary School, we will provide your child with the best possible experiences to fulfil this aim.

As I am the joint Head teacher of both Maidens and Fisherton Primary Schools, I may not always be physically  in the school but can always be contacted by telephone or e-mail.

I hope you find it helpful and informative. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Through creating this website, our school is conforming to Article 17 of the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child which states that every child has the right to information from the mass media.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions, queries or feedback.
