After reading our third chapter of the watchers, we decided to create action shots of this dramatic part of the book. Rather than drawing them or writing them down, we created three main pictures in our head ready perform to our group.

We explored a new artist today for creativity hour. Our challenge was to create an everyday object which has human or animal type features. We used newspapers to do this today but lots of materials could be used for this activity. Lots of superb ideas and fun!

Creative Comprehension
In our Thursday workshop, we are creative in our
literacy. Children can approach the task with innovation and expand their analytical skills. The challenge was to create a car seat for our baby dragon from our class novel. We had a super range of creations from 3D models using junk materials, Lego, scratch and Adobe. Everyone was engaged and had lots of fun.

Numeracy and Maths Highlights
This week we are working on lots of place value experiences through written tasks, interactive games and Lego challenge activities. We also continued our building, thinking classroom lesson today where there was lots of great mathematical discourse and everyone was working collaboratively.
Literacy Workshops
Every morning we split up into our literacy and maths workshop groups. In each group, pupils can focus on the outcomes and skills required at their individual levels. This week we are reading a class text called, The Watchers. We started off skimming and scanning the text for main ideas and this week after reading a piece of description, we then created a Diorama to reflect one of the first scenes in the story.
