Today we started to explore explanation texts and recognising the features of these texts in our library books. We will use this to help in our writing pieces tomorrow.

We are all sad to be leaving Ford Castle soon as we have the best time!
We enjoyed busting some moves last night at the silent disco and our morning activities have been exciting. We’re all ready for some lunch and a chill on the bus home.

We had a great second day at Ford Castle. Today started with Trapeze followed by a sensory trail. After lunch we learned the basics of air rifle shooting and had a fun competition of Aeroball.
Getting ready for our silent disco later and our last night in dorms.

This morning we have had an energetic one before the holidays. We started off with Rugby learning new games and rugby skills. Then the sun shone for our morning play. We are all set for a fun morning before our Easter break and we hope all our families in Woodmuir primary have a relaxing and fun Spring break.

Today we enjoyed a morning assembly with Mr Mc Naughton talking about our vision and school values. We also had an opportunity to share our wider achievement.

P2/3 continued our work on measurement. We watered the potato plants using jugs that were a litre, half and quarter of a litre. This helps us to estimate the volume of other liquids.

Today we had a fabulous trip to the owl centre at Polkemmet Country Park. In the morning we participated in our ‘ Hoots for Dinner?’ game, then we had an orienteering type quiz, working in small groups. After lunch and play we watched the flying display and finished off with a play in the park. It was great fun and everyone represented the school very well and demonstrated our school values. We all learn in different ways and being out in our natural surroundings was a great way to complete our Bird project and make learning an adventure!
