We did a fantastic job today with our bike inspections. We stuck labels to all of our bikes to help us identify them and completed an inspection form to check for any repairs. Our next step is to identify who and what is needed to repair our bikes. Lots of critical thinking and collaboration today 👍
P2/3 continued our work on measurement. We watered the potato plants using jugs that were a litre, half and quarter of a litre. This helps us to estimate the volume of other liquids.

p2/3 enjoyed exploring length using rulers and meter sticks today. We estimated the lengths of different objects then checked our answers! Everyone did a great job!
P2/3 have been learning about weight in our measurement topic. We were estimating then measuring the weight of items in our kitchen. We were all able to estimate what weight these items were (either 1 kilogram or 1/2 a kilogram) then measure them to see how accurate we were.

Woodmuir had our first Curriculum Cafe of the year!
We had walk down the streets of Paris and beyond, seeing our replications of the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre to name a few.
Then we got to see some of our favourite artists work – Monet and Matisse.
Thank you to all our parents who attended to see the fabulous work carried out by the class.

Primary 2/3 have been learning about 2D shapes this week. We have learned about new shapes and how we can describe their properties. We can tell you how many sides and vertices (corners) that a shape has!

Some of the children are going to start assembling our French buildings this week. We have created our lists of what we need and cardboard boxes tops the list. We would be grateful if you could send in any tomorrow and Wednesday so that we can get started! Thank you!

We were investigating estimation today and discussing why it is an important skill. Well done to the winners of our estimation challenge!
