P7mo Blog

P7mo have been doing some science. We have been learning about chemical, physical reactions and acid and alkalis. After we had finished our experiments, we wrote a procedure about them. Some of the experiments we done were; Elephant toothpaste and attempted homemade lemonade.

P7 has also been planning their leavers assembly! We have been planning the script in groups for the assembly. We have also been planning who will be speaking for each part.

We have been focusing on volleyball in P.E, we have learned many different passes and our ready position. some of they passes we learnt are; dig, spike and a overhead pass. We also split up into groups and played some games against each other.

In Health and well-being we have been learning about changing me and what to expect when we get older. We wrote questions down for the question box and split into boys and girls to ask questions, answer questions.

P4hs Blog 3/5/23

Primary 4 have been working very hard so far this term. We have been learning all about the Unsinkable Ship. We have been taking part in secret missions to bring the Titanic back to life. We have also been consolidating our knowledge of multiplication and division. In maths, we have been focussing on time. We have been learning to use different spelling patterns and use these in our writing.

Here are some of the things we have enjoyed:

BK- I have enjoyed our dance topic in PE.

KT: I like doing handwriting.

RL: I have enjoyed different art activities. My favourite was our colourful tree of life.

GM: I have enjoyed learning about time in maths.

JM: I have liked going to the library to choose a new book each week.

Here are some of the things we are looking forward to:

CT: Participating in more NYCOS lessons

DR: I am looking forward to our show

CA: I am looking forward to more missions.

AA: I am looking forward to our school trip

P5mw Learn it! Log it! Blog it!

Welcome to our 5mw blog. We have had an eventful few weeks!

We have been excited to welcome science visitors from ‘Edinburgh Science’. We have been learning about Ph scales and what makes different liquids acidic or alkali. We have been experimenting with different solutions and adding them to substances to test their Ph value. Our pictures show how much fun we have had with them.

In numeracy, we have been consolidating our understanding of times tables. We have been reciting them as well as learning and sharing new techniques such as doubling and halving to help us practice different times tables.

In writing, we have been creating procedures so we can demonstrate how to make things such as recipes. We have been reading how to make Mexican bean burgers as well as how to make smoothies and flapjacks. We can now confidently use adverbial verbs such as place, put, stir, mix, cut and serveĀ in our writing.
