First Week Back

This week we have been reading our Heartstone book and it is about one girls story to find the heartstone. We have been predicting what will happen next and what the heartstone actually is. Throughout this book we are learning about how people can be segregated and not to discriminate. We discussed all the ways people can be discriminated and then had to choose one way that we felt strongly about and turn it into positive graffiti artwork. To do this we used charcoal, pens, paper and paint.

We look forward to finishing our book.

P5f Blog it!

We have had a wonderful first week back at school! We have started our new topic learning about Mary Queen of Scots. We have learned lots so far and can’t wait to find out more! Our topic links well with our residential trip to Lowport which is in a few weeks.

We have also started explore fractions in numeracy! Have a go at exploring fractions over the weekend – can you find or make any in your food?

Happy Friday 🙂
