Blog It Post

Hello everyone!

In P7e we have been very busy…

P7 have started planning for the leavers assembly on the last Friday of term. We are sworn to secrecy do not ask us about it!!

We have had P.E specialists in to teach us once a week and we have been looking at targets in different sports.

In topic we have been travelling around the world. So far we have traveled through Scotland, France and now into Italy. This week we took out our tables and chairs because it was so nice outside and we researched Italy to create booklets. However we did use our maths skills as a few people had to measure whether the chairs and tables could make it through the door!

We have just watched a bike stunt show. We thought there might be injuries but there was not! So the stunt men did lots of tricks such as wheelies, cycled up ladders and jump on cars. We even sacrificed a teacher during a stunt.

You will hear from us soon!

P5f Lowport Day 1

We were so excited getting the bus to Lowport today and when we arrived we were quickly met by our instructors and went off to do some fantastic activities – archery, orienterring or canoeing. They were lots of fun!

Lunch was delicious and after a quick recharge of our batteries we were out again for our 2nd activity. What a busy day we have had, it doesn’t feel like school at all.

For dinner we had lentil soup followed by sausage casserole. The food at Lowport is very tasty and we set our own tables and tidied up afterwards.

We went on a beautiful walk along the canal to the swimming pool and had fun splashing and playing on the giant floats. We were starting to feel tired on the walk home but a trip to the chippie gave us more energy.

Hot chocolate and a movie before bed. We need to rest up for another day of fun! Goodnight parents. Feel free to comment under the tweet and we can read out lots of encouragement to the children in the morning.

Goodnight x

P5sw at Lowport Day 2

Greetings  from sunny Lowport! What a fantastic day we have had.  We started with a hearty breakfast of cereal, fruit juice, toast, sausages and beans.  All of the groups have now enjoyed taking part in canoeing, orienteering and archery over the two days. Everyone took part in the forest adventure this afternoon. Lots of fun was had crawling through tunnels, den building, problem solving in the forest and walking in the streams. Macaroni cheese, garlic bread, ice cream and sprinkles were on the menu for dinner. After dinner Miss Hesp, Mrs Cook and Miss Purdie joined us as we walked all the way around the loch. It was so beautiful and warm. We are currently having a ball at our disco with Mason as our guest DJ. After our disco it’ll be supper time and a wee movie before bed time. See you tomorrow at lunchtime.
