The children have used chalks to create their own galaxy pictures.  Firstly, they researched all the different types of galaxies using their devices and then either copied one or created their own.

Haaris says ” I found it fascinating to research all the different types of galaxies.”

Lucas says “I enjoyed using chalks instead of paints.”

We are having a busy time in P4S.
Our topic is “the Unsinkable Ship” and we have been developing our skills in reading, writing. talking, listening social studies, science and art through our topic.

I really enjoy the Titanic topic because I learned that it was the fastest boat to travel to New York but sadly it sank before it got there. There were over 2435 people on board the Titianic. JWF
I am really enjoying the topic because it is very interesting and I have learned a lot about it already. CS
I found out that the Titanic was 882 feet long. AH
I like doing art because we were making line drawings of the inside of the Titanic. EW

We are enjoying different PE activities outside.
I like dancing because it is good exercise. KP
I enjoy benchball because it is a sport so we work in teams to try and win. AC

We have been learning:

We were learning to use letters as numbers. This is called algebra.

In topic, we have been learning about islands. We have designed our own islands in groups and presented them to the rest of the class. We had to have good communication and teamwork skills as well as creativity and we used our knowledge and understanding about islands and how they made.

We have been looking at playscripts in Literacy and learning how to read them and understand how they are written.

In Maths, we have been learning about time and reading digital and analogue clocks. We have been converting 12hr and 24hr time.

We have enjoyed:

HA – I really like football in PE.

DM – I have enjoyed learning about why you may choose to be a vegetarian.

TW – I have liked learning about islands and creating our own.

RE – I have liked doing drama and acting. I also like algebra.

LF – I have enjoyed converting 12hr time into 24hr time.
