Olivia – We have been doing run a mile with Mr Muller.

Luka- In P.E. with Mrs Howard we have been going around in a carousel doing different exercises and each week we have to beat our previous score.

Fia-  In writing we have been learning poetry.  We looked at The Eagle poem that had an 8 syllable rhythm in each line.

Stella – In our numeracy with Miss Melrose we have been doing fractions.

Boyd – We were learning that equivalent fractions look different but mean the same thing. E.g.  2/4 = ½

Arran – In P.E. with Miss Hesp and Miss Melrose we have been doing cross country.  We have been learning about different running styles.

Luka/Fraser – We have been exploring pace to make sure we can run the whole race.

Layla- In Maths with Mr Muller we have been learning about time.  We have been learning intervals of 1, 5 and 10 minutes.

Kayla W – We have been learning about our speed in P.E. and we have been looking at different ways of running.  With Mrs Howard we have been getting higher scores than our last.

Jaysen – We have been making water tornados in topic to learn about natural disasters.

Chloe T – With Mr Muller, as part of our topic we have been learning about the Aztecs and who they are.

Haaris – In topic we have also been making Mayan masks and learning who they were.

Chloe H – In handwriting we have been learning how to form letters correctly.  I have really enjoyed being back at school after the summer holidays.

Kayla W – We have made Mayan masks, the finished ones on the wall look great!

Stella – We have been practising for our show.  I have enjoyed learning the songs.

Luka – With Miss Melrose in our Spanish lessons we have been learning to count to 20.  I have enjoyed this term so far.

We have had a very busy few weeks continuing to learn to recognise and write lots of new sounds and numbers.   In P.E we are continuing with our Body Moves which also helps to improve our listening skills.  In the afternoons we are continuing our topic called All About Me.  We are learning all about our 5 senses.  We had lots of good ideas and questions around this topic! We have been on listening walks outside, where we listened to the wind blowing through the trees and collected interesting items such as acorns, sticks, grass and leaves to touch and build with.  In class, we have explored our sense of smell where we had to guess what the scent was from covered tubs!  We did not like the coffee smell but we did like the smell of the baby bath liquid!
