Primary 4s Blog

Last Monday we went our school trip to Helix Park. We had a picnic lunch and some of us saw swans. We got time to go to the park and we ate our snack there before we started to play football. We got ice cream at the end of the day and it was amazing.

On Thursday as a special lunchtime we got to go to Windyknowe Park. While we were there some people were playing on the field at football and some were playing in the park.

Transition took place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Our new teacher is going to be Mrs George and we will also get Ms Brody on a Wednesday. For transition we made our class charter and we made it to look like electronics to show we are in charge of our life and our decisions. We also made book marks and talked about our spinning reward wheel. The rewards will be for the winning table.  It might be things like lunch with Mrs George or break with Mrs George when you get hot chocolate. If you don’t want to pick from the wheel you get to choose from the mystery box. During transition we also had to complete maths questions and the answers gave us colours to use to complete the picture.

In transition we did got to do some activities outdoors. There was football and tennis.

Transition went well and we are looking forward to Primary 5.

P6bc 13th June 2023! Looking forward to the new school year!

P6bc are very excited to learn who their new teacher will be in P7.   Everyone will be P7 this week during transition, so the children will get a little taster of what P7 holds in store for them.

Hollie says  “I can`t wait to go on school camp, especially since we missed camp in P5.”

Callan says  “I am looking forward to seeing my buddy more often when they are in P1.”

Alden says “I am excited about joining the Football team in P7 and going to lots of marches.”

So as you can see, everyone is more than ready to move onward and upward for new beginnings.

P4s Learn It! Log It! Blog It! 26.5.23

Primary 4s have had a fantastic start to Term 4.  We have really been enjoying our ‘Unsinkable Ship’ topic and have created some lovely pieces of art of the Titanic.  Our most recent art task this week was to create a picture of the Titanic using the pointillism technique.  Our Titanic ships looked amazing!

We recently had a taster session from Destination Judo and it was so much fun.

We also had some visitors to our school from France and they participated in our Vertical Learning day.

We are fast approaching our Primary 2-4 show and we are working hard on our songs.  We can’t wait to show off our amazing talents and look forward to seeing there.
