P1C ASSEMBLY REMINDERS AND HOME LEARNING

Hello,

A reminder that it is P1C’S Assembly on  17th of MAY. The children who feel comfortable with speaking parts have note of this given out today to rehearse as part of home learning.  PLEASE practise with your child to give a clear delivery. We are also learning a song, and a pirates dance which can be found on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe_HDfdmnaM.

And first part of song is ;

Thirsty for adventure on the sea
Set the sail and heave ho adventure is for me
Searching for the treasure hidden well
On the secret treasure map a tale I’ll never tell

All say “Arr!” and sail the open sea!
Hoist the jolly roger and a pirate you shall be!
Hey, Hey, Ho! Windward or to lee
Hoist the jolly roger and a pirate you shall be!

Thanks. See you there!

p1c 1.3.19 Blog Post

We have been learning the ai sound this week during phonics lessons. Some children made little sail boats- which also ties in with our transport topic.  In our story writing we have been writing factual information and have written about hot air balloons and trains.

In numeracy we have been working hard to remember some doubles numbers facts to help give us another quick strategy in addition and subtraction problems.

We made some rockets and put them on the rocket launcher to test outside.

We all had fun when we went out with Sustrans on balance bikes. The teachers went out on scooters too.
