We have been especially enjoying our topic. We have been talking about how to build a house. Mrs Messenger shared her own recount about building a house and then we recorded each other telling a recount using iPads. We then wrote our own recounts and Mrs Cook was very proud of our writing skills! We learnt about making bricks, the properties of clay and brick patterns. Then we made our own clay bricks in pairs. Next we invented our own cement and used it to build our walls. We used our team work and problem-solving skills. It was lots of fun and the walls were fantastic! We learnt about tents and we liked making tents in the woods and making tents with art straws and paper.
Z – I liked counting in hundreds.
E – I really like reward time and playing with the fun things that are out!
H – I like jigsaw Jack time.
G – I like Mrs Brown’s maths.
A – I liked the clay best.
