We have settled in well to P6 and are busy learning our routines for each day.
The children have been reading and writing about The Twits as a novel study. Tommy says that “they are old, smelly and funny”
Kaylee says ” they play pranks on each other”
The children have drawn their own pictures of Mr and Mrs Twit and we have a wonderful display in the classroom to reflect their learning.
The children have used chalks to create their own galaxy pictures. Firstly, they researched all the different types of galaxies using their devices and then either copied one or created their own.
Haaris says ” I found it fascinating to research all the different types of galaxies.”
Lucas says “I enjoyed using chalks instead of paints.”
In P6b we have been learning all about Space. The children wrote Science Fiction stories, they learned all about the planets and their moons and their order from the Sun.
The children used their devices to find out about the phases of the moon, and then they created a poster to show thier learning.
The children have listened to lots of different types of music to do with Space and now they have composed their own space music too!
The children created space art, and have researched all different types of techniques and ideas.
Lucas says”I have really enjoyed the space art and using the paints and chalks.”
Fia says “I have enjoyed looking at how space can be presented through different types of paintings.”
