Hello readers!

We have been having a few lessons to wrap up our World War 2 topic. We ave been working in groups to create our very own topic books. Danny has made some great illustrations of different artillery used in battle and Struan has used his own knowledge to create pages in his topic book about different events in the War such as the Blitz!

We have also just had our P6 Christmas party. We had loads of fun playing corners, musical arms and best dancer. Congratulations to our contest winners – Nino, Struan, Scarlett, Andrew and Liam! We also had a braw time dancing to the Gay Gordons and Strip the willow!

All in all, a fantastic couple of weeks for P6!

Thanks for reading!

Good morning!

Today in writing, we have been looking at the features of an information report.

Oran – you need to include an evaluation to have your own opinions

Scarlett – you need to include real facts

We are working on a report about Tom Gilzean – the war veteran and charity worker who sadly passed away this year.

Aaron – The title of my report is ‘The life of Tom Gilzean’

To inspire our thinking we used an example of a report on Polynesian music to understand how a report would be structured.

Good morning everyone,

Today we have been having lots of fun outside improving our stamina and confidence in long distance running. Last week as a class we got 113 and this week we ran over 120 laps!

Afterwards, we gave our brains a challenge by doing a quick fire round quiz working on 6-9 times tables! 😁
