Hello everyone,

We have had a wonderful week at school A big highlight for us was getting the chance to meet 2 Scottish Authors. We had an online Teams session with write Tom Nicoll as he discussed with us his love for gaming that inspired his ‘Level – Up’  book series. C & A love gaming so were really inspired by this!

We also had a chance to meet in person – Paul Walsh, another local Scottish writer. He shared his story ‘The Mcscarfs’ and brought along his guitar for an enjoyable singalong. B & C were thrilled to purchase a copy of his book. Miss Purdie also got a signed book to keep in the class!

Big congratulations to B & A for getting to the finals of the Scots poetry competition and well done to B who came 3rd out of p2 – p4

Well done to K, C & F for being the top 3 in our home learning Sumdog competition 🙂

Thanks for reading!

P4p Blog post 22.12.21

Hello everyone,

Well, what a term it has been! We have had so much fun learning about food technology, recipes and cooking. We appreciate anyone who bought one of our home made recipe books for the enterprise project and hope that you have lots of fun trying out some of the meals!

As we head to the end of the year we are very much looking forward to Christmas. We had a great time at our class party and enjoyed putting our feet up with a snack to watch a film too!
We have enjoyed singing, dancing and writing our own musical songs where we got to practise writing in rhyme.

We hope you have a merry Christmas and happy new year when it comes!

What would happen if the chairs went on strike?

Today primary 4p were writing persuasive letters to the chairs in our classroom. We learned about why persuasive writing is important and how to use the right language to persuade an audience or person,

We learned that a persuasive text needs a title, an opening statement, arguments for and closing statement. We used strong emotive adjectives too as a way to convince the chairs to come back to us.

We had a lot of fun doing this and were relieved when the chairs came off strike and joined us again!
