We have had a very busy few weeks since we last posted. Christmas activities have been filtering into almost all of our lessons in preparation for Christmas this month:

We wrote to the Grinch to persuade him not to steal Christmas. We used our persuasive language to try and convince him to leave Christmas alone and explained why it was important to us.

A cosy Christmas movie morning was scheduled for all of us in class and we decided to watch Home Alone.

We have been making wreaths and Santa traps in our outdoor learning lessons with natural resources found in the forest/woods area.

The whole school carried out a STEM challenge – ours was to create a sleigh for the elves sleigh race. We had to make sure it travelled at least one metre without being touched. This was lots of fun in our groups.

Finally, we had our Christmas party and played games like musical arms, pass the parcel and corners.

We have had lots of fun in December and would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes 🙂

We have been busy writing recipes for our Christmas Enterprise project!

We even managed to follow our recipe for lentil soup and made some in class, the recipe will be in our P4 Recipe Book.

Last Friday, we were able to walk to the local park for our Christmas parade with the whole school, including the nursery! We made snow people headbands in class to wear in our parade. We had lots of fun and enjoyed waving to everyone walking and driving by.
