P7 Lendrick Muir Day 3

Another day gone in Lendrick Muir! We were woken up by Miss Edwards with a siren playing Waka Waka, we then got all ready and came down for breakfast. After breakfast we started our activities. In one group they started with the king swing, some people faced their fear of heights by having a go on the high swing. For another group they started with archery, we got to use a real bow and arrow which was fun and everyone enjoyed it. Another group had a go at Jacob’s Ladder, some of us struggled to climb at the start but made great progress by climbing high in the end. Some people managed it right to the top (very proud) which felt achieving and relieved. Others had a go at the mini survival task, we had to make houses for creatures we created. Everyone took part in a survival game which we had to act as an animal (prey or predator) and we were looking for food and water and trying not to be killed by disease or becoming road kill (Miss Hendrie beware). Another task was the night line, we were blindfolded and played some games, then we went outside for an obstacle course. There was also the gorge walk which we had exciting and funny instructor who kept us amused on the walk. Lastly, there was a bike trail where Miss Melrose came for a visit! We tried to be the muckiest person and the winner was … everyone!

For our fine dining today, we have had carrot and coriander soup followed by Scotch pie and beans. Not just any beans… HEINZ Beans! Some people managed to score more beans after!! For snacks throughout the day we had a range of fruit and hot blackcurrant juice. For dinner, we had a choice of BBQ chicken with mash or Sausages in gravy and mash. Lastly for dessert we had Malteser cheesecake. P.S supper was also chocolate rice crispie cake and hot chocolate.

For a special outing we went bowling. When we arrived on the bus, we chose groups of 6 for our bowling alleys. We then put in our names for our game and then we took turns hoping to get a strike… or close anyway. We were able to spend some of our pocket money on slushies! This kept us going through the hard work of bowling. After our 1 and a half games we wen’t back to our camp where we announced the winner overall score. Daryl in P7e had the highest score and won a real life size bowling pin trophy with his name!

We are going to go up and get ready for bed and come back down to watch our movie! Overall, today has been a great day!
