Since returning from our Easter break we have been busy;
- Preparing for our upcoming class assembly. We have been learning song lyrics and script parts
- Visiting our Nursery buddies at Bathgate West Nursery
- Learning the perfect conditions needed to incubate chicken eggs
- Developing skills to collect, organise and interpret data through tally charts, bar graphs, line graphs and pie charts
- Labelling parts of a circle using mathematical vocabulary such a circumference, diameter, radius, sector, segment and chord
- Identifying the features of 3D shapes including faces, vertices and edges
- Understanding how to structure a procedural text using our science topic of Space as a theme e.g. “How to Become an Astronaut” and “How to Brush your Teeth in Space.”
- Creating line drawings of astronauts using pencil to create depth and shading
- Researching scientific theories about the structure of Earth e.g is the earth flat or round and how do we know?
- We had a visit from a group of scientists to teach us about bodily functions
